To cope with the strain of being contestably physically and verbally abused by the man she thought was her father, Helen she would confide her problems to an imaginary “secret sister” she hoped existed. Little did she know that she actually had a real sister – who was also her fraternal twin!
Jenny was raised in a happy, loving family but discovered in her teens that she was actually adopted. After realizing her adoptive mom was upset that she learned she was adopted, she did not pursue the issue until she was older.
She would meet her birth mom, Mercia, in 2003 but was warned not to say anything to Helen. Obedient woman that she is, Jenny kept quiet, only resuming her quest to meet her sister after Mercia passed away.
Helen was ecstatic upon learning that her imaginary sister was actually a real person. DNA tests would later confirm that not only were they full sisters (they previously thought they were half-sisters), they were actually fraternal twins!
