The BOC or Bureau of Customs earned a lot of negative opinions and comments from the Filipino people especially on our fellow OFW brothers and sisters. The opening of the packages is a very big disappointment to the receiver of the packages which was supposed to be delivered to them safely.
According to many of us, the OFW’s are the new generation of Heroes of our country, but with this policy they think that they are being stomped down by the Philippine Government. Many people outside the country are accusing the said government department that they are stealing some items from the packages that was supposed to be given to their loved ones here in the Philippines. They said that some employees of the said department is getting some things that have high value, yes in the eye of the law it is a clear type of stealing. On the footage we can clearly see some BOC employees opening the packages from our OFW’s abroad and getting some of the things that have high costs.
