We are all too familiar with the action-packed Resident Evil, right? Before Resident Evil 6 was released way back in 2012, game developers from Capcom came up with a gruesome marketing strategy to gain public attention for their latest creation before it hit the stores.

To carry out their plan, they set up a shop at a popular London marketplace– Smithfield Market. When the unsuspecting shoppers strolled the stalls there, they were greeted with a horrifying and gruesome surprise. The setting was a place in the butcher shop that specializes the finest cuts of human flesh. (Relax folks, this was only designed to recreate the final scene in the game). Guests were then invited to try some of the morbid butcher’s product samples for free. Yikes!

At first glance, the product samples sold there were seemingly normal, but somehow, the shoppers quickly realized that the butcher stall was serving up something scary and disgusting.  This includes a selection of edible human limbs that ranges from hands, feet, and human head! Even though these disturbing delicacies were made of pork, beef, and chicken molded into human body parts, patrons were still less than eager to give them a go. Some brave souls, however, had the courage to buy a few items.

Here are some of the photos of the products:
