In light of the recent reports about shark attacks in several areas, notably Australia, a couple went to a beach in the Outer Banks in North Carolina with metal cages they believe could keep the sharks away.
Walking nonchalantly towards the water while holding their metal cages tightly, the couple was soon called out of the water by a lifeguard who, we suppose, explained to them the dangers of swimming inside a metal contraption that could easily assist in their drowning more than protect them from possible shark attacks.
As you can see in the video below, the homemade shark cage actually had large openings and even left their legs exposed. We’re wondering how a this could have saved them if ever there was a real shark lurking in the vicinity…We’re just so glad the lifeguard stopped them from making a foolish mistake and drowning inside their flimsy shark cage…
