Videos have emerged from a prison in New Zealand showing the inmates taking part in an underground fight club.
The Mount Eden Correctional Facility has understandably come under fire after these videos started appearing on YouTube.
The prison is operated by private company Serco, who signed a 10-year deal to run the prison in 2011, worth $300 million NZD.
In the years since Serco took over, inmate violence has gone through the roof, and the facility now records more prison assaults than any other in New Zealand.
Since these revelations came to light they’ve been prohibited from running the prison, pending an investigation, although Serco’s staff still remain at the facility.
